Service & Contact

On Monday between 8:00 and 17:00 registration will take place in the atrium between the main library and the main building. After that, registration is still possible during the office time (8:00- 18:00). At registration you will receive your name badge and additional documents. Furthermore, these helpers are always available to answer any questions you may have.

During the breaks, free drinks and small snacks are offered in the library building.

Lunch is not organized centrally. There are numerous restaurants and cafés on campus or the immediate vicinity of the university that offer inexpensive lunch menus and snacks.

Here you find an overview of all the surrounding restaurants with their current lunch menus.

Internet can be accessed with eduroam.

If you do not have eduroam, or if you are having difficulties using it, you can get a personalized account at the conference office (for free).

The official hashtag of the conference is #FGSP2023.

To ensure smooth transitions between presentations, please only use our presentation laptops.

Make sure to put a copy of your presentation on the appropriate presentation laptop before the start of your session.

The presentation laptops run on Windows, and the newest PowerPoint version is installed. You may also present your talk with a PDF file, if you wish.

There will be helpers in each conference room as contact persons for any problems or questions.

If you are presenting in the poster session, please make sure that your poster is DIN A0 (841 x 1189 mm) in portrait format.

The poster session will take place in the atrium. Please already use the coffee break before the session to attach your poster (the walls are numbered).

Room 24 on the top floor of the Universitätsplatz 2 building is available as a rest room during the conference. Here you can retreat and rest for a moment if you wish to relax.

Child care can be used parallel to the conference. This also includes the times of the pre-conferences on Sunday and the public lecture on Monday. Please contact us via the email fgsp2023(at)uni-graz.at if you would like to use childcare.

Monday, September 11 to Wednesday, September 13 between 8:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. childcare will be provided by the hour as needed at the M.A.M.A. Association at Attemsgasse 21.

On Sunday and Monday evenings, children will be cared for by Lilo Matzer in the university building.

In order to be able to use the childcare free of charge, we ask for registration for the conference by 31.5.2023 and for registration of the general need during the registration. We will then contact the individuals and clarify the details.

If you require childcare during the social evening, you can search for a babysitter here. If you inform us about your need, we will be happy to assist you in finding a suitable person.

Should you organize childcare yourself, the children's room in the main library will also be available to you and the caregiver as a place of retreat during the entire conference.

Here you will find further information for families traveling with you.

If you have general or specific questions about childcare and traveling families, you are welcome to contact the university's contact point for compatibility, unikid & unicare: unikid-unicare(at)uni-graz.at.
