Graz can be reached by many routes from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

ÖBB Nightjet offers direct and above all sustainable connections to Graz with night trains from Berlin and Zurich. When traveling from Hamburg and Cologne, the night trains end in Linz and Vienna, respectively. But also during the day, Graz can be reached excellently from different directions (also cross-border) with the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB). In addition to the train, long-distance buses (Eurolines, Flixbus) also offer a reasonable and more sustainable alternative to a journey by airplane for traveling to Graz. For this reason, we raffle three vouchers worth EUR 100.- each for the use of ÖBB between all participants who can prove that they have traveled to Graz by train or long-distance bus (outward or return journey) and have been traveling at least for 6 hours.

The main campus can be reached from Graz main station by two buses: Bus 63 in direction Schulzentrum St. Peter (stop Universität), Bus 58 in direction Mariatrost (stop Mozartgasse). From the center of Graz (bus stop Jakominiplatz) you can reach the main campus by bus 31 in direction Uni ReSoWi (bus stop Uni Mensa). The BusBahnBim App (app can be downloaded in the menu on the left) can also be used to search for connections with public transport in Graz. Tickets for public transport in Graz can be purchased via the GrazMobil App or at vending machines in tramways and at bus stops and stations or tobacconists. However, Graz city center can also be easily reached on foot from the University of Graz in about 20 minutes. To be even more flexible in Graz, an e-scooter or the Graz Fixpreis-878-Taxi-App is a good option.
